Experience Narrative:

Client enters a shop and makes a purchase with cash. It is the correct change. Says "hello just this/these please" takes items and says "thanks bye" leaves shop

Belief to be tested:

If I pay by cash I won't have enough money and I will feel stupid and embarrassed. Others will think I am stupid.

Alternative Perspective:

If I pay by cash I can buy the items I want, if I don't have enough money I can put things back. I may feel stupid but nothing bad will happen and others will not judge me negatively.

Safety Behaviours to drop:

quiet voice, lack of eye contact, rushing, avoiding speech, counting money more than once, looking down or using phone as safety behaviour.

Client reflections:

wasn't as bad as thought it was

Practitioner reflections:

No SB recorded
